Captain Donat J. Pimenta, having sailed as Master on several vessels under realized the Ship Managers’ growing requirement for Indian seafarers to serve their vessels. He went forth and founded Deejay Marine Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. in the year 1979. Since then the organization has grown and is today one of the leading manning and recruitment agencies of Indian seafarers. Throughout the 25 years of it’s existence the organization has proved it’s ability to adapt to the ever changing demands of the marine industry.

On 4^th September 1998 Deejay Marine Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. was certified for compliance with the ISO 9002:1994 Quality Management Standards. On 14^th April 2003 the organization completed the transition to the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Requirements.
